54th Legislative District includes part of Allegheny Township, The City of Arnold, Export Borough, The City of Lower Burrell, part of Murrysville, The City of New Kensington, part of Penn Township, and Upper Burrell Township in Westmoreland County and Bethel Township, Cadogan Township, Gilpin Township and Parks Township in Armstrong County.

 

John Pallone is the only candidate that brings both private sector and public sector experience to the role of State Lawmaker including professional experience as a practicing lawyer, former Commissioners’ Coordinator for Westmoreland County and local family owned small business.  Representative Pallone’s seniority has secured important committee assignments, including the Education Committee, Tourism and Recreational Development Committee (Majority Chairman of the Sub-Committee on Recreation), Judiciary Committee (Majority Chairman of the Sub-Committee on Crime and Punishment), and Gaming Oversight Committee.  John Pallone is also a member of the Southwest Caucus and the Northwest Caucus, is a member of the Democrat Policy Committee and was appointed by Democratic Leadership to serve on the Select Committee on Public Education Funding, the Identity Theft Commission, the Special Committee on Academic Freedom, and the Select Committee for the Golden Apple Education Award.

 

Throughout his career, in both the public and private sectors, and now as a State Lawmaker, John Pallone has worked very closely with other State and Federal lawmakers in developing and implementing changes and improvements to the various federal, state, municipal, and school codes and laws that have had a positive effect for Counties, Municipalities, School Districts, and other agencies throughout Pennsylvania.
